Acquaintance perpetrators are the most common abusers, constituting for 70-90% of all reported cases. Strangers are the offenders in just 3% of sexual assaults against victims under 6 and 5% of sexual assault victimization of youth ages 6-11

89% of sexual assault cases involved a persons known to the child, such as caretaker, family acquaintance or family member. 

Research proves it's not stranger danger - NO...  These sexual deviants are people we allow in our children's lives. So, how can we protect our children? We are convinced of one way.... COMMUNICATION!

Parents can start by forming an open line of communication and building healthy relationships with your child(ren). As simple as that sounds - This is how "offenders" operate. Time after time an "offenders" misuse a position of trust.  

The grooming phase is the foundation of confusion these "offenders" prey on a void in the victims life. We feel most victims lose their voice due to shame because of the manipulation tactics used by these adults. 

A whole host of various problems, particularly can lead to problems with relationships with the opposite sex. Either have no idea how to interact with them or believing the only form of interaction is sexual. 

Regardless of the gender of the survivor common symptoms are - guilt, anxiety, depression, interpersonal isolation, shame, low self esteem, self destructive behavior, post traumatic stress reactions, poor body imagery, sleep disturbance, nightmares, night terrors, relational and/or sexual dysfunction. Compulsive behaviors like alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, over eating, over spending, sexual obsession or compulsion.

There are over 400,000 registered sex offenders in the United States and 80-100,000 are missing. Their suppose to register but no one knows where they are. (National Center for missing & exploited Children)

The average pedophile molests 260 victims during their lifetime. Let that sink in!

90% of convicted pedophiles are again arrested for the same type off offense after release.
